Product Description

medical use Foam Hydrocolloid dressing for diabetic wound treatment

Hydrocolloid Foam Dressing is a conformable, sterile, self-adhesive wound dressing composed of a hydrocolloid layer and a thin polyurethane foam backing material. The hydrocolloid layer is made from a polyisobutylene matrix containing a natural, highly absorptive carbohydrate polymer. Hydrocolloid foam dressing absorbs exudate from the wound and is permeable to both oxygen and water vapour but impermeable to bacteria. The absorption process is characterized by swelling of the hydrocolloid layer in contact with wound exudates, through formation of a highly cohesive gel providing moist conditions conducive to natural healing. The gel formed is non adherent to the wound so that newly formed tissue is not traumatised when hydrocolloid foam is changed or removed.

Composition: Psyllium Husk, carboxymethylcellulose, polyisobutylene, polyurethane foam backing.

Features:

  • High absorption level
